What IS an oral history project?

The goal of UC Merced’s Oral History project is to record your thoughts, views, and ideas about Merced, about your life, about your friends, and about yourself. Starting March 1st and running through to the end of the semester, you and a friend can make an appointment to interview each other on camera, talking about whatever you like. These videos will be archived as a permanent part of UC Merced’s history, providing a look back at the students, staff, faculty, and campus community as a whole.

How do I sign up?

If you and a friend would like to schedule a UCM Memories interview with each other, please email ucm.memories@gmail.com with three possible times and dates that work for you, and somebody will be in touch with you to let you know where and when.

You and your friend can have an idea of what you want to talk about, or you can use the prepared interview questions that are available on our website at http://ucmmemories.blogspot.com. The person filming will also have a list of questions.
